In the second picture, the comet flows like sand from the bowl of the Big Dipper. Some red skyglow (due to mild auroral activity) can also be seen on the horizon.
The third picture was taken the same night as the second picture using a longer focal length setup. It shows the difference in color between the blue ion tail and yellowish dust tail, as well as the bright green coma at the head of the comet.
